PJ's Taco Seasoning Mix
I never have a packet of taco seasoning when I need it so I started making my own mix and keeping it an airtight container along with my pumpkin spice mix. Makes it SO much easier and about 2 tablespoons of this mix is equal to about 1 packet of store bought taco mix.
4 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons cumin
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon dried onion granules
2 teaspoon oregano
teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne (optional)
Put all ingredients in a bowl and whisk till everything is blended. Keep in a sealed container for 6-8 months before it starts to lose some of it's potency. I also shake up the container every time I go to use any.
