Cream Cheese Strawberry Banana Bread - 8 NOMS

I had 3 overripe bananas but I didn't want to make standard banana bread and I happened to have fresh strawberries and cream cheese on hand so I decided to try something a little different and it turned out SOOO good. Will definitely be making this again.

6 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup overripe banana, mashed (about 2 large or 3 small)
1 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon flour

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees; Grease and flour 2 loaf pans

2. Using an electric mixer, cream the cream cheese until fluffy; add the applesauce and vanilla extract until mixed. Gradually add the sugar beating well to combine; add the eggs one at a time, beating until the eggs are well combined with the cream cheese sugar mixture

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Add the bananas on low speed to incorporate. Toss the strawberries in the flour and fold into the batter. (The flour keeps them from sinking in the batter)

4. Bake for 45 minutes uncovered. Cover with foil to keep from over-browning and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool for at least 20 minutes before removing from pan and serving.
